Report: Peyton Manning "(Opens) Negotiations" with the Denver Broncos

Reported on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd", Peyton Manning to the Denver Broncos is just about done. Adam Schefter reported on his Twitter:

Peyton Manning called John Elway this morning to tell him he’s looking forward to coming to play for him.

"

Schefter also reported that the Broncos are now going to try and trade Tim Tebow. This leaves lots of questions and room for rumors. The biggest of these, of course, being, where will Tim Tebow go?

According to John Clayton of ESPN, the New England Patriots could be Tebow’s next home.

John Clayton on ESPN radio said if Broncos get Manning the rumor circulating is Denver would trade Tebow to Patriots.

Peyton entering the AFC West poses problems for other teams in that division who don’t have current elite quarterbacks. While no papers have been signed, Manning and his agent are looking to open negotiations with the team and it seems to be just a matter of paperwork at this point.

Manning has been courted by several teams, including the Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers since he was let go by Jim Irsay and the Indianapolis Colt’s organization. There was some scrutiny about whether or not Peyton would be able to perform well in a city like Denver that plays outdoors in the cold for the majority of the season.

Manning has been used to the dome in Indianapolis. The biggest question that comes out of this now is what will happen with Tebow? This remains to be seen.
