Morales vs. Garcia: Preview, Start Time, Live Streaming and Schedule

After being postponed late last year, the long-gestating Erik Morales and Danny Garcia fight for the WBC junior welterweight championship takes place this Saturday night from Houston. 

Morales is trying to keep his momentum going in a positive direction. He bounced back from a loss last April to Marcos Rene Maidana with a victory over Pablo Cesar Cano in September. 

Garcia is one of the rising superstars in the sport of boxing, and he gets his first chance to headline a card. He boasts an impressive 22-0 record with 14 knockouts. At just 24 years old, he will try to make the biggest statement of his sure-to-be stellar career.

Morales has the gift of knowledge and power on his side in this fight. He is 35 years old and has beaten some of the best fighters in the world, including Manny Pacquiao. He will need every bit of energy to hang with the younger, faster Garcia. 

As long as Morales doesn't try to outmaneuver Garcia early in the fight, thereby wasting his energy, he should come out on top.

Use speed to wear down the older Morales, and figure out how to break his iron jaw. 

Garcia can't overpower Morales. His game is built more on speed, which allows him to knock opponents out. He will have to get in Morales' head early in order to control the tempo throughout the fight. 

This will be the greatest test of his still-young career, but one that he is more than capable of handling with poise and confidence.
