Who Is The Greatest Federer Or Sampras?

How can Roger Federer be classed as the greatest tennis player ever? You need to look at the facts.

Firstly the competition that Sampras had to play against to win his 14 Grand Slams was much tougher, all the players he faced in the finals had already had Grand Slam titles to their names. However the only competition for Federer comes from Nadal, if he goes out early in a competition, then that opens the door for Federer.

But Sampras had to face one tough opponent after another... the only one match where Federer beat Sampras was when Sampras had already gone past his peak. At that point he beat himself.

When your judging who is the best you have to look at players that play each other and take their head to heads into account. Sampras and Federer only played each other once, so you can't really decide much from that. But when you look at how many times Nadal has faced Federer- then you'll see that Nadal has beaten Federer more times than Federer has beaten him.

Then you look at the head to head of Murray and Federer and you'll see that Murray has beaten him on more occasions as well. Now don't take anything away from Nadal  because he is a top class player but to get beaten by Murray on more occasions???... How can anyone in their right mind call him the greatest ever???

Federer is just lucky he didn't bump into Sampras at his peak...for Sampras to win 14 Grand Slam Titles with competition as tough as it was makes him the greatest ever.... Plus going back to head to heads- where Sampras played more than one match against any opponent, Sampras would have more wins than any of his opponents.

That's a fact that can not be said about Federer even though the competition for Federer is a lot easier....... OKay Federer has won five Wimbledon's on grass, but just to get an idea of how easy the competition is for him just look at the fact that the biggest challenge for him on grass comes from a clay court specialist which is Rafael Nadal....

FACT IS THE COMPETITION FOR FEDERER IS MUCH EASIER THAN IT WAS FOR SAMPRAS..... Federer probably wouldn't have even won 5 Grand Slams if he was born 10 years earlier.........
