UPDATE: Sunday, March 18 at 2:17 p.m. ET
Kenyan Simon Njoroge won the men's race with a time of 2:12:12, while Ethiopian Fatuma Sado won the women's race with a time of 2:25:39.
Njoroge has raced in 17 marathons and has now won seven of them. That's quite impressive because winning marathons is one of the toughest things to do in sports.
Sado had a phenomenal race and was on track to break a course record but was unable to keep up that momentum toward the end.
According to the Los Angeles Times, both winners will receive $25,000 in prize money and a Honda CRV.
