San Francisco 49ers: 49ers Sign Manningham, Add Wide Receiving Depth
According to a report by NBC's profootballtalk.com, the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a two-year deal with wide receiver Mario Manningham.
Manningham's signing adds much-needed depth to the 49ers' wide-receiver position, which lacked production during the playoffs of last season. He will join Randy Moss, Michael Crabtree, and Vernon Davis as the go-to receivers for San Francisco.
Manningham, of course, made perhaps the biggest catch of the season for the New York Giants last year in the Super Bowl during a last-minute comeback drive.

The 49ers also met with wide receivers Brandon Lloyd and Chaz Schilens earlier this week, but they both opted to sign with other teams.
This may be a move to try and lure prized free-agent quarterback Peyton Manning to San Francisco. Giving Manning more options to throw to should only increase the chance of him signing with 49ers.
