The Doctor's Weekly WWE SmackDown Recap: 121 Things We Learned, Loved and Hated
This week's SmackDown was nothing special, but featured the return of someone who has been sorely missed in the WWE ring.
Christian made his return and joined Team Johnny for the match at WrestleMania which will determine the General Manager for both Raw and SmackDown.
AJ also had her first real match on SmackDown since joining up with Daniel Bryan and the match was surprisingly long for a televised Divas match at 2:28.

I truly appreciate my loyal readers, but for those of you who are new, each week I recap SmackDown with a long list.
The entries are made up of equal parts humor, recap, play-by-play, revelations, speculations, questions, answers and anything else I notice during the show. I sometimes comment on commercials too just because I get bored during them.
I have two games each week as well. The first game is trying to correctly predict the length of the next Divas match to the second. The other game is coming up with new and humorous nicknames for David Otunga revolving around a specific part of his character or attire from that week.
This game has produced such wonderful nicknames as the Macchiato Mauler, The Sweater-vest Savior, The Bow-tie Brawler, The Caffeinated Crippler and my personal favorite, the Folger's Soldier.
I try and interject some fun into these lists, so I hope you have fun reading this week's list of the 121 things we learned, loved and hated from the show.
1. Nice, Brodus Clay has been added to the intro video.
2. Awesome! Christian makes his return and the crowd seems very happy to see him.
3. He is sporting a little bit longer hair than we have seen him with recently.
4. Kudos to whoever made the "RKO KONY" sign.
5. He is getting more of a face reaction than I expected after he endorsed John Laurinaitis.
6. Christian welcomes us to the return of The Peep Show.
7. Christian brings out David Otunga and John Laurinaitis to some major heat. Side note, Otunga's adorable son, David, was heavily featured on TMZ this week, and he is hilarious for a toddler.
8. Otunga is wearing a snazzy baby-blue sweater, so that is the topic of this week's nickname game.
9. I am going with "The Baby Blue Brute." Leave your Otunga nickname suggestions below
10. Long come out next with The Noir Jessica Rabbit. I need a new nickname for Aksana too. If you have a good one let me know.
11. Christian wants the two to fight over having him on their team at Mania.
12. Am I the only one who thinks seeing (From left to right) Aksana, Teddy, Christian and Laurinaitis standing next to each other looks like the signal bar from a cell phone?
13. Long seems less than impressed with the idea of Christian on his team.
14. Christian wants a title shot.
15. Johnny Ace interrupts Long and says he wants Christian to be on his team.
16. When team Johnny wins he will give Christian a title shot.
17. It is amazing how much more comfortable John Laurinaitis is in his role than when he first started a few months back. Love that guy.
18. Christian has officially joined team Johnny.
19. Teddy tries to make Christian wrestle a match but Laurinaitis says he is not cleared to compete yet.
20. Long says Otunga has to wrestle a match instead and it is against Kofi Kingston.
21. Kofi is accompanied by US Champion Santino Marella.
22. Back from commercial and Kofi is taking it to Otunga, who is wrestling in his slacks.
23. Wow. Kofi launched himself at Otunga who caught him mid-air and just threw him down to the mat.
24. That was an impressive show of strength from Otunga, who is probably stronger than WWE lets him show on camera.
25. Cole is being extra obnoxious on commentary right now.
26. I have to say that Otunga is looking very impressive lately. He has notably improved in the ring since debuting on NXT and his mic skills get better all the time.
27. I think that within a year he will be holding a mid-card title.
28. Christian trips up Kofi and the ref almost saw it.
29. Teddy Long goes to the ref and says he saw what Christian did and Christian is ejected from ringside.
30. Teddy and Johnny are arguing and Otunga tries to use his belt as a weapon, but he is stopped by Santino.
31. Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise for the win.
32. Aksana, Teddy and Santino celebrate with Kofi post-match.
33. Daniel Bryan is shown standing outside the Divas locker room.
34. He says the dress he bought AJ looked better on the mannequin.
35. Bryan says he got AJ a match where she could get a Divas title match if she wins.
36. Bryan wipes off his mouth.
37. Do you have something against kissing pretty girls, Bryan?
38. So all the Divas share a locker room? That is either awesome or terrible I can't decide.
39. After commercial The Bellas make their way out.
40. Their outfits look like Catwoman had her suit altered at an S&M shop.
41. AJ is out next and then Bryan comes out to his own music.
42. I think that was a good move because it allowed AJ to get a face reaction without Bryan's heat affecting it.
43. Bryan yells some instructions before the bell and AJ takes to Brie, who is on her knees like she is too tall to fight AJ.
44. AJ hits her with a dropkick, much to the delight of Bryan.
45. Bryan is actually being encouraging right now and not a total jerk.
46. Brie gets her back and takes control.
47. I wonder if anyone was able to predict the right time for this match.
48. I think I could hear a small "Let's go AJ chant."
49. Ha, some guy in the front row was responding with "AJ sucks" and he was the only one doing it.
50. Nice move by Brie when she steps on AJ's hair and then pulls up on her arms. Wait. Is this Nikki Bella?
51. Whatever, it really makes no difference, but whoever it is has had a few nice looking submission holds tonight.
52. AJ hits a cross body on whatever Bella is in the ring in what has to be one of the oddest executions of that move I have ever seen.
53. The Bellas try for Twin Magic but Bryan stops it from happening.
54. AJ wins with a nice reversal into a roll-up.
55. I don't know how to say this in a polite or appropriate way so I have to just say it. Announcers should never say a female wrestler is "full of spunk." If you don't know why they shouldn't, I am not about to explain it to you.
56. Bryan celebrates after the match like he is the one who got the win.
57. Bryan holds the ropes for her as she leaves the ring. This match is probably the nicest he has been to her in weeks.
58. Wow. Bell to bell match time was 2:28. That is the longest TV Divas match I have seen in a while.
59. Check back Monday night for my Raw Recap to see if anyone was able to predict the correct time for this match as well as leave your own predictions for the next Divas match in the comments section below.
60. I love that when they showed the replay of the Cena Rap and Rock Concert they included the clip of Cena standing by the kid wearing the "We Hate Cena" shirt. Cena's face right there was great. That was a hilarious, real moment caught on WWE cameras.
61. So in order for me to get an MP3 of the Rock's songs, which I saw for free on TV, I have to go to iTunes and pay for it?
62. Maybe I'll revert to my childhood days and hold a tape recorder up to the TV to record.
63. Yes kids, some of us did that back in the day because music was not digital and available for free unless we listened to the radio.
64. I still have a tape somewhere which is half full of Vanilla Ice and The B-52's.
65. Khali is out after the break and he is set to face Cody Rhodes.
66. I have to give a shout out to the people who were wearing some blue WCW branded sweatshirts shown in the crowd during Rhodes entrance.
67. I have never been a fan of Khali, but it really makes no sense that he was once a World Champion fighting Batista in a Punjabi Prison match and now he is a jobber.
68. Rhodes is in control for most of the match until he dives off the top ropes into a huge chest chop from Khali.
69. Rhodes wins with the Beautiful Disaster kick.
70. I can't help but think that Rhodes is looking more and more like a main-eventer every week. He has the right look, attitude and skill-set to be a huge star very soon.
71. Orton is out after a break and he is wearing his new shirt.
72. Orton talks about how he is not the kind of guy who talks about his problems, he hunts them down.
73. He says now he feels like he is the one being hunted, by Kane.
74. He wants to know why Kane chose him because he embraces Hate, unlike Cena.
75. I am now realizing that Orton has been vastly underused in recent months. I am sure he is willing to give up time so others have a shot in the lime light, but this promo makes me miss the days when he was front and center in WWE.
76. Kane's music hits and he appears on the ramp.
77. They show a clip of last year when Kane and Orton shook hands after a brutal match.
78. Kane says this moment haunts him because he thinks it showed his weakness.
79. This is a good segment. Both guys are very good on the mic and putting them together is just plain smart. Hopefully they have a good match at Mania or else this build up will have been pointless.
80. Kane says the WWE isn't big enough for the both of them.
81. Is he in a John Wayne movie now?
82. Orton wants Kane to come and try to finish what he started, but Kane wants the match to happen at WrestleMania.
83. I love this vignette for Otunga in the style of a cheap injury lawyer.
84. Drew McIntyre comes out after the commercial for a match.
85. What's with the two little braids on the side of his head.
86. Big Show comes out to face him after a quick message from Teddy Long.
87. D-Mac is pleading with Show, but the bell rings and Show goes right for him.
88. The look on D-Mac's face when Show gave him a huge chest chop was absolutely priceless. Perfect camera placement.
89. D-Mac gets in some offense, but he can't lock in his double-arm DDT and Show is able to deliver a massive spear.
90. Show hits the choke slam and then the WMD. Show pulled that move off well by slapping the hand he was hold McIntyre's head with when he went to strike so it sounded like he connected more than he really did.
90.5 I had to watch that back in slow motion to make sure he didn't really connect because you can see them slap their chest to make the sound most times, but Show was holding McIntyre by the head so I was unclear on why it sounded so nasty.
91. The ref calls the match because Drew is out cold.
92. When Show was winding up for the big punch he said he was doing this for someone, but I could not make out what he said because Booker was talking over him.
93. Sweet. Yoshi Tatsu is getting some SmackDown screen time.
94. Mark Henry is his opponent, so I guess this will be a squash.
95. Tatsu should have kept the face paint.
96. Did Booker just say Tatsu should turn into a Veg-o-matic and chop this guy up?
97. Booker, you so crazy.
98. Damn. Henry slams Tatsu and then slaps him right in the face really hard. It was clearly a smack Tatsu did not think would be as hard as it was.
99. Henry wins with the World's Strongest Slam.
100. Chris "I-am-made-of-shiny-plastic" Jericho is shown walking to the ring as we go to commercial.
101. Seriously, Jericho, cut down on the baby oil. You look like a Ken doll with frosted tips.
102. After the break, Jericho comes out and talks about the fans not being happy with him.
103. He brings up Punk's father being an alcoholic again.
104. Sheamus is out next. These were the last two guys in the Rumble this year.
105. Sheamus takes control early on.
106. You can still see a huge welt on Sheamus' back from Monday night. It stands out, but since this was filmed on Tuesday it is still a fresh bruise.
107. Bryan and AJ comes out after Jericho puts Sheamus down outside the ring.
108. AJ is standing and Bryan gets to sit in a chair. Chivalry really is dead.
109. Have they made even one reference to Sheamus and St. Patrick's Day?
110. Happy St. Paddy's day!
111. Sheamus does a nice move where he rolls backwards and ends up on the top rope, but Jericho catches him.
112. I think Sheamus actually took a thumb to the eye. He is rubbing it a lot and there is a red mark right by it.
113. Jericho puts on the Walls of Jericho, but Sheamus is able to power out of it and crawl to the rope.
114. Did Jericho fall over or was Sheamus supposed to break free?
115. Sheamus gets counted out after Bryan kicks Sheamus in the face when the ref wasn't looking.
116. Bryan and AJ walk up the ramp to leave and Sheamus tries to chase him down, but is too hurt to catch him.
117. While I am never a fan of dirty endings, I think this was the only way they could have ended this match.
118. Jericho gets the win, Sheamus doesn't lose cleanly and Bryan gets in some good heel moments. It was a win-win-win for everyone.
119. Sheamus hits the Brogue kick on Jericho after the match is over and stares Bryan down to end the show.
120. Overall I would say this was a good show, but nothing special.
121. Seeing Christian return at the top of the show after we hadn't seen him since he first endorsed Laurinaitis was probably the best part of the night.
Thanks for reading and feel free to share your thoughts and additions to the list below. Also, please take a moment and make your prediction for the length of the next Divas match as well as your nickname for David Otunga.
