What They're Saying
K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune found that Luol Deng has been struggling with his wrist in back-to-back games during this compressed season.
"“It’s just something I have to play through,” Deng said. “I have to adjust my game to find ways I can still make an impact.”
“It’s tough, man,” he said. “As the game goes on, you forget about it until you get whacked or fall. It’s really my first time playing with this injury. So as time goes on, I think I’ll get better with it.
"
Most Important Player to Watch: Derrick Rose
D-Rose is obviously the guy to watch if he is healthy. He had to sit out on Wednesday night against the Miami Heat, but his team still got it done.
They are an absolute force with their leader and reigning MVP on the floor, and the Sixers are going to have their hands full trying to stop him.
Key Matchup: Guard Play
The play of each team's respective guards was a major factor in their last battle.
Chicago won, 96-91, and got 35 points, eight assists and four rebounds out of Rose, as well as an efficient eight points on 4-of-6 shooting by Rip Hamilton. Ronnie Brewer chipped in six, and C.J. Watson had nine off the bench.
On the other side, Jrue Holiday was only able to put up 16 points, four assists and four rebounds, while Jodie Meeks was held to two points and Evan Turner and Lou Williams had six a piece off the bench.
Philly is going to need to contain Rose to win this and lock their other guards down while they are at it.
