Arsenal FC: Top 5 Games to Ensure a Top 4 Finish for the Gunners
Arsenal have truly turned a corner. After a series of fantastic wins, they are now firmly in the driver's seat in a comfortable forth position, just one point shy of Tottenham Hotspur and three points of ahead of Chelsea.
In most likelihood, Arsenal will ensure a top four finish, as rivals Chelsea have an impossible list of fixtures, facing the likes of Tottenham, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Here are the top five games to ensure a top four finish for Arsenal and hence, a Champions League spot for next year.
5. Everton vs. Arsenal, 21 March
1 of 5David Moyes' side epitomizes mid-table resilience, and playing against Everton is always a grueling affair.
Arsenal have to ensure to come away with all three points to widen the rift between themselves and Chelsea, who face Manchester City in the game week.
4. Arsenal vs. Stoke City, 28 April
2 of 5Stoke City is another highly-resilient side in the Premier League who play a blend of tough-tackling, high-intensity football.
Walking away with three points against Stoke is an uphill task, but I see Arsenal being able to comfortably brush them aside.
3. Arsenal vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers, 11 April
3 of 5If there is one team that manages upsets every season, it is Wolverhampton. Just ask Manchester United.
This game is key, as Arsenal might take a more relaxed approach to the game and be duly punished.
2. Arsenal vs. Manchester City, 8 April
4 of 5This game is of immense importance to both the sides involved.
Manchester City will be particularly eager to win, as it might take them one step closer to the Premier League title.
Arsenal will try to snatch at least a point so that there remains a gap between them and Chelsea.
1. Arsenal vs. Chelsea, 21 April
5 of 5The battle for the forth spot might very well go down to this game.
If Chelsea perform brilliantly against Manchester City and Tottenham, this game might be the deciding factor of how their season ends.
However, as mentioned earlier, Chelsea have difficult fixtures, and unless they manage to win most of them, they will not be able to close down the gap that separates them and the lucrative Champions League spot.
