5 Best Feuds in the NFL Today
Sometimes a rivalry and a feud are one in the same, but for fans, the entertainment value is equally high.
The NFL has done an admirable job of trying to police some of the "extra-curricular" activity out of the league, but there has got to be room for some of it right?
Here are the five best feuds currently taking place in the NFL today.
The Family Feud
1 of 5The hiring of Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco was a boon for the NFL feud scene. First and foremost, it created the "Family Feud" between himself and the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh.
Even though it is not a particularly venomous rivalry between the two, there is no doubt that their game against one another last season left the loser extremely hot under the collar.
The race is on to be the first Harbaugh to win a Super Bowl!
Finnegan vs. Johnson
2 of 5Corltand Finnegan has long been known as an agitator in the NFL, but only when he lines up against Andre Johnson, do the fireworks really begin to fly!
These two have gone to blows and it is a shame that they are no longer facing each other twice a year in the AFC South.
Ndamukong Suh vs. Everyone
3 of 5It seems like the entire NFL has an axe to grind with the Lions' troubled defensive lineman and how he plays the game. His fans call it toughness and his detractors call it dirty.
Whatever it is, his demeanor has rubbed off on his entire team and it may be more accurate to say the the rest of the league is feuding with the Lions.
The team is learning to be tough, which they have the talent and grit to do easily, as opposed to finding dirty ways to intimidate. It's only a matter of time before they turn it into a science like the '85 Bears, and we all know everyone hates winners.
Ravens vs. Steelers
4 of 5It is clear that this is one of the NFL's top rivalries, but the antics off the field make it a full-blown feud. The war of words between the two teams ranges from total respect, to total disdain and mockery.
The Steelers laugh at the "elite" status the Ravens try to give to their quarterback Joe Flacco, and the Steelers merely laugh about the paltry one Super Bowl victory that the Ravens have under their franchise's belt.
The main point is that no matter what the circumstance is, each team will argue about who the class of the AFC North is.
Jim Schwartz vs. Jim Harbaugh
5 of 5The holy grail of NFL feuds at the moment exists between Schwartz and Harbaugh. It didn't take long for Jim Harbaugh to enter the NFL and find a perfect foil in the fiercely competitive Schwartz.
Both coaches are leading the charge for their up-and-coming teams, and each one wants to be the next dominant team in the NFC.
After a hard-fought victory for the 'Niners at Ford Field, the tensions boiled over and both coaches seemed seconds away from fisticuffs.
This is one feud that will only grow with time and hopefully has an encore in the playoffs someday.
