Matt Flynn Rumors: Price for Quarterback Rapidly Declining
Free-agent quarterback Matt Flynn is meeting with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, and reports suggest he is not expected to earn starter money if he signs with the team. That means the Seahawks would make him earn it, which is probably the safe way to go.
Flynn was expected to cash in with a Kevin Kolb-like deal this offseason as the second-best quarterback on the market, but all of a sudden many of the teams expected to be suitors for the long-time Green Bay Packers backup have fallen away.
The Cleveland Browns are not interested in chasing the LSU product and appear content to stick with incumbent starter Colt McCoy next season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Washington Redskins were thought to be in the mix for Flynn as well, but they ended up pulling off a blockbuster deal with the St. Louis Rams to move up to the No. 2 spot in the 2012 NFL Draft and grab Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Now Flynn's only two options appear to be the Miami Dolphins and the Seahawks, and the Fins are likely going to wait until the Peyton Manning drama has ended before they actually start pursuing the 26-year-old.
Miami may actually be the right place for Flynn to end up. The Dolphins' new head coach Joe Philbin was the quarterback's offensive coordinator in Green Bay and oversaw his development. Flynn knows Philbin's offensive system as well as anyone and could likely step in and play right away and provide leadership by teaching his teammates.
Philbin also knows what Flynn brings to the table as a player and a person. While he has very little experience starting games in the NFL, Flynn won a national championship at LSU, learned under Aaron Rodgers and owns a Super Bowl ring from his time in Green Bay. He is probably the backup quarterback most ready to step into a starting role.
The price for Flynn appears to be dropping, but that could mean whoever lands him gets one heck of a deal.
