PGA Second Hawaii Stop: The Sony Open at Waialae, Course One
The Sony Open gets underway Thursday, with a purse of $5,000,400 dollars split up between the participants.
K J Choi is your defending champion in this event.
Geoff Ogilvy won the first event of the season, the Mercedes-Benz Championship, between last years winner's on tour with an impressive six shot victory.
My fantasy players did alright last week. Anthony Kim and Adam Scott finished the tournament pretty well themselves, and got me 104 points.
I find it hard, already, to figure out a fantasy golf line-up, where my guys will be playing, which tournaments, and so on.
My line up for this week is Stewart Cink as my A player, Adam Scott and Rory Sabbatini are my B players, and my C player is Kevin Streelman.
This week I have four players instead of two active in the tournament.
I have no clue what I'm doing? This is on Yahoo Golf Fantasy.
Can I drop players whenever I want, and switch them for someone else all season? I know no one I use can play in more than 10 events, but I am a little confused.
I thought i had to stick with the same eight guys the entire season. Maybe someone can explain this better to me in plain English? I get confused easily!
Anyway, I plan on getting a round in pretty soon, somewhere in Southwest Florida, and I will bring you a diary of what occurs that day, just for the fun of it.
If I play with anyone, I will include them in the article, if they are alright with that, with their occupation, how often they play, and what they expect out of a round of Golf.
Maybe it will be interesting, maybe not. We shall see.
My game used to pretty tight, but I have had a long layoff due to a motorcycle accident, and my swing seems to lack power now, not that I ever had any to begin with.
I do hit the ball pretty straight however, and have an adequate short game. The last time I went to the range, it was pretty sad, and I will get a little tune up lesson, I think!
From the white's I usually shoot in the mid-eighties. I 've had a few under 80 rounds in the last couple of years prior to the torn rotator cuff.
I am 53, but feel silly playing from the senior tee's. It seems much, much easier than I am used to.
Hit them well, and good luck on the links!
