Mario Williams Rumors: The Latest Buzz Surrounding Free Agent DE
It seems like Mario Williams has been in Buffalo long enough now that he might as well just buy some property (even if he doesn't sign with the Bills).
Who knows, maybe he is doing some window shopping at real estate?
Anyway, here are some of the latest news surrounding the best defensive free agent this year.

Was Super Mario Given an Offer?
According to Mark Gaughan of Buffalo News, the numbers weren't disclosed, but it appears to be quite impressive:
"The Bills' offer eclipses the six-year, $91.5 million deal that Chicago gave defensive end Julius Peppers in 2010, a source has told The News. Peppers got $42 million guaranteed, and the package made him the league's top earning defender.
"
Something over the given for Julius? That good chunk of dough is on the verge on hitting nine digits. Then again, Buffalo really needs Williams to spruce up their front seven and potentially draw in other free agents.
And if he does end up in Buffalo, using him as a recruit would only benefit the Bills even more. After ranking No. 26 in total defense last season, Buffalo has to try everything to land Super Mario.
How Much Longer Can We Expect to Wait?
According to John Wawrow of the Associated Press, it seems another day has been added:
"The Bills announced Wednesday night that Williams has left their facility and will return Thursday morning.
Williams' agent, Ben Dogra, in a text to The Associated Press, wrote: "We are still continuing to talk."
"
To that end, the good coming out of this, is that Williams and his agent have been in discussion with the Bills. The bad news for Buffalo fans, is the tension of still having to wait as other franchises remain interested in Super Mario.
Patience is a virtue and Mario Williams can't afford to make a quick decision. This will also likely be the only time he'll be a free agent, so there's no need for Williams to jump in right away.
Sleeper Franchise Interested?
With a new defensive coordinator in Jack Del Rio, the Denver Broncos could definitely use Williams to upgrade the front seven. And on of their players, Von Miller, has expressed his own interest:
"
"I would take a huge pay cut to get Mario Williams and Peyton Manning! I just want to win!!! #BroncoNation it's our time!
— Von Miller (@MillerLite40) March 15, 2012""
If the Broncos somehow ended up with Williams, that would give them the NFL's best front seven, period.
Having him line up opposite of Elvis Dumervil in the 4-3 would create some serious problems for any offensive line in protecting the quarterback and running the rock. Then, Miller would get to do even more damage on his own as a pass rusher and dropping into coverage.
Just think of how much pressure is taken off the Denver pass defense. Quite a bit.
