Peyton Manning Rumors: All the Latest in QB's Search for a New Home

After a long week of visits and discussions with teams, Peyton Manning has apparently begun to narrow down his options. On SportsCenter on Thursday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that the consensus is that the four-time MVP has narrowed his focus to the Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos.

Titans owner Bud Adams appears to be offering Manning everything under the sun just to get him to town, and part of the team's pitch is a post-retirement front office role, according to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network. That may be the only way Tennessee can trump the Broncos, as John Elway is entrenched as the guy overseeing Denver's football operations. 

Adams wants to move to make Manning a Titan for life and such a deal may appeal to the former University of Tennessee star. The only problem with that situation is the fact that Manning seems averse to looking over his shoulder at a young player positioned to take his job. The Titans, of course, spent the No. 8 pick in the 2011 NFL draft on quarterback Jake Locker.

Despite the chatter surrounding the Broncos and the Titans, sources close to Manning suggest that there is currently no clear leader for his services, according to CBS Sports. The source also claims that he would like to make a decision by Sunday. 

Last night, ESPN's Chris Mortensen claimed that Manning had yet to eliminate any of the four teams currently vying for his services. That would mean the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals are still in the mix for him. 

It sounds like this situation is slowly coming to an end. However, depending on who you talk to, Manning either has leaders or doesn't.

That certainly clears things up.

That said, it is safe to assume Manning will make a decision soon. He has already visited with all four teams and now it's time for him to make up his mind.
