Will Alex Rodriguez Win His Fourth MVP in the Last Seven Seasons?
If A-Rod not winning the MVP every other season for the past six seasons doesn't convince you, then let me tell you a few reasons why I think Rodriguez will be the 2009 A.L. MVP.
First and foremost, A-Rod is arguably the best player in the game right now, as he delivers an all-around performance.
This doesn't have a lot to do with making playoffs, hitting in game-winning situations, and whatever else you can think of that Rodriguez doesn't do right.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
A-Rod is a good ballplayer, period.
Oddly enough, winning the MVP in 2003, 2005, and 2007, Alex Rodriguez has decided to skip the even years and stick with the odd ones.
Considering his age, A-Rod still puts up amazing numbers. It is hard to believe he turns 34 in July.
With the addition of slugger Mark Teixeira to the New York Yankees' roster just before Christmas, a little bit of weight and pressure is off the shoulders of Rodriguez.
If A-Rod is going to win MVP this year, he is going to have to put up numbers like he did two years ago.
In 2007, A-Rod smashed 54 HR while knocking in 156 RBI. In addition, he stole 24 bases and hit .314, wow. Also, being just 47 career home runs shy of 600 doesn't hurt.
It could be another history making season for Alex Rodriguez, and for the Yankees for that matter.
With the new Yankee Stadium opening this season and any outside drama put to the side, A-Rod has a breath of fresh air and should put up excellent numbers.
"I’ve learned to put whatever issues are on the front the page in one small box over here, (gesturing an imaginary container). … and baseball has been a great vehicle for me to keep my mind on what I love to do most, to play baseball," Rodriguez said in a 2008 interview.
In March, Alex Rodriguez will play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic, and should get a nice preseason warm-up in before the real season begins.
The New York Yankees and A-Rod have their first regular season game on Monday, Apr. 6, in Baltimore, and I am sure that Alex Rodriguez will be there and be ready to do what he does best, play the game of baseball.
