10 Most Disappointing WrestleMania Matches

Alfred KonuwaMar 14, 2012

WrestleMania season is a time for excitement as the WWE provides an incomparable stage for immortality. Unfortunately, things don't always seem to work out that way despite the best intentions.

In its illustrious history, there has definitely been more good than bad at WrestleMania. But in some cases, the bad has been really bad and at times unwatchable.

Perhaps creative gets in over its head. Maybe the hectic pressure and schedule of booking a once-in-a-lifetime match turns diamonds into coal. Or maybe things just don't click the way they did on paper.

Whatever the case, WrestleMania has played host to some moments fans want back, in some cases along with their money.

Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar was supposed to be a dream match that could sell out a building on a ticket alone. Once news got out of their impending departures, all bets were off.

The Big Show has had some wacky WrestleMania moments to say the least, and his WrestleMania 21 Sumo match with Akebono was no exception.

Once upon a time, Bob Backlund was a tenured WWE Champion in the WWE. Then he worked Razor. It wasn't too long before he was out of work.

The Demolition was arguably the best heel tag team of the early 90's. Just don't tell that to Vince McMahon or the two Japanese no-names who he booked to go over them at WrestleMania VII.
