What They're Saying
Marc Berman of the New York Post reports that Carmelo Anthony is completely disillusioned with the Knicks.
"Carmelo Anthonyโs discontent with the Knicks organization became so severe after Monday nightโs loss to the Bulls, he told a confidant he preferred to be traded before Thursdayโs NBA deadline, The Post has learned.
According to a person familiar with his thinking, Anthonyโs disillusionment stems most from a belief coach Mike DโAntoni and interim GM Glen Grunwald do not trust him. He is surprised that after all the Knicks gave up to trade for him, he has not been asked for more input on personnel decisions, as Deron Williams has with the Nets.

Most Important Player to Watch: Carmelo Anthony
All eyes are going to be on โMelo tonight because of his alleged sulking and the fact that he may have quit on his coach.
According to ESPN The Magazineโs Chris Broussard,
""Half the team is trying to do what coach says and the other half is doing something different," one source said. "Then it spills over to the defensive end because players are (ticked) off about somebody taking a bad shot."
"
Weโll see if they can get on the same page tonight.
Key Matchup: Team Defense
Both Portland and New York are mired in shooting slumps lately, and an effective team defense from either side will ensure the other stays ice-cold from the field.
The Knicks need to start playing better D to get back in the playoff race, as their six-game skid has them tied for the eighth seed in the East.
Prediction: Knicks 102, Trail Blazers 99
