Tim Tebow: Quick Take on His Fans and the Peyton Manning Situation

Gean MayJun 7, 2018

Tim Tebow has a huge fanbase that adores him. No, really he does. Alright, that's enough tongue-in-cheek for now.

There are two types of fans who dig this guy. Obviously, there are the Denver Broncos faithful.

You also have the general football fan who loves what he stands for and wants to see him succeed, despite his naysayers.

Depending on which camp you fall into, the idea of Peyton Manning taking over at quarterback in Denver will settle in your stomach a little differently.

Broncos Fans

The fanbase in Denver is for the most part pro-Tebow, and they may not take too kindly to the Johns (Elway and Fox) doing everything they can to run this kid out of town.

In fact, if the Denver brass does want him out of the picture completely, you as a fan would be entitled to be ticked off.

Although, as a Broncos fan, wouldn't a healthy Peyton Manning be the one guy you would be able to give a pass to?

Tebow is a very young man. He can stick around and learn from one of the best. Broncos fans should be able to swallow this pill with no problem at all.

"Healthy" is the key word here, but would Manning go through all of this pomp and circumstance if he wasn't sure he could go on Sundays?

So, let's assume he's good to go as far as health.

The Broncos won a playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with Team Tebow. Tebow was exposed in the next round against the New England Patriots.

Does this play out the same way if No.18 is at the controls?

Non-Broncos Fans

The fans of Tebow who have no allegiance to the Broncos shouldn't really care how this whole thing plays out.

If Denver decides that Tebow needs to go if Manning comes to the Mile High City, the attitude should be "Shame on them, Tim will be fine wherever he goes."

If this happens, Tebow will land somewhere; maybe not as a starter, but that's where "Tebow Mania" will kick in again. The fans of this respective team will start to call for the lefty to do his thing if the starter struggles.

Tebow Will be Fine

The moral of this story is simple.

Tim Tebow has been through this stuff before and he will come through this current situation just fine.

My impression of Tebow is that he refuses to fail. He has proven this all his life.

He is a man of great character and pride. So, let the chips fall where they may and Tebow will humbly pick them up and re-stack them in a manner that suits him and all his fans.
