2012 NFL Free Agents: Seattle Seahawks the Best Option for QB Matt Flynn
Matt Flynn is going to take his time to make a decision, and that makes the most sense for a man that will make millions in Peyton Manning's wake. The Seattle Seahawks still remain the best fit for the former Green Bay Packers quarterback.
The latest on Flynn is that he has some interest in the Miami Dolphins, and they certainly have interest in him. There is, of course, the small little detail of Peyton Manning.
Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald reports Flynn will meet with the Seahawks, though the Dolphins are still very much interested, but are holding out for the big fish on the market.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"...The truth is the Dolphins are still hoping to land Manning and they won't be in full blown desperation mode unless and until Manning goes elsewhere. And until at least two teams are bidding for Flynn the full potential of his market won't be reached. His agent knows this. Or should.
"
This is exactly what ESPN's Tom Carpenter echoes in his Insider roundup of free-agent rumors, saying, "Having two teams interested in Flynn's services can only boost the quarterback's value. While some free agents signed on the dotted line quickly, it appears that Flynn's free-agent process may take some time.
I still contend Seattle is a better destination for Flynn, who will be under enormous pressure to produce quickly and efficiently in Miami. The Dolphins fanbase is eager for a quarterback that can produce a title and will be on Flynn the moment he stumbles.
Seattle is not completely safe from these ills, but it has a little leeway as it hopes for something better than Tarvaris Jackson.
The smart thing for Flynn is to drag his feet, which would be a measured gamble as Manning may in fact choose other than Miami. This would pit the Dolphins against the Seahawks in an all-out bidding war. If Flynn is looking for a franchise that is ready to do everything in its power to move forward, that's Seattle.
The Seahawks are throwing money at their problems and it could end in them ripping Mario Williams from the free-agent market. Their defense is coming along and they have the weapons on offense that would make Flynn shine. Seattle is the smart choice, but that doesn't mean it will necessarily be the one that gets him.
Money rules all.
