The return of Vince McMahon

Sean TinnellyJan 13, 2009

Reports are that Vince will be in the house next week on Monday Night RAW.  This should really help the WWE which has lost its luster.

Wrestling usually captures its audience in waves.  You have your die hard fans that will watch no matter when, where, or what time it is on.  Then you have your fans who watch for periods at a time.  For me WWE comes into full swing when football season comes to an end.  It is entertaining and it fills the void during the off season, but recently WWE had just been the same old story to me.

The past couple of months the story lines have been bland, the talent has been the same, and the WWE just lost its unique attitude that it once had.  This could be due to the fact that they are trying to clean up their image (if you could believe that).

John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Undertaker, Batista, Jericho, and Shawn Micheals are the main talent.  Then you have guys like CM Punk, William Regal, Big Show, and JBL. Lets not forget HHH who is only where he is because of who he is married to (he once was a guy that lost to the Ultimate Warrior in 14 seconds at Wrestlemania).

The WWE has really lacked someone on the mic (I am tired of the same old guys coming out, saying the same old things), and with the return of Vince McMahon that someone is finally back.  Cena, Orton, and Y2J are the best they have when it comes to mic work.  Y2J and Micheals showed why they have been in the business as long as they have during their last feud, but the match ups are the same.  Little twist here and there, and you still have the same old main events with predictable outcomes.

Upon Vinces return you will see much more crowed interaction when he is on the mic.  The guy is the best in the business.  He created WWE and without him WWE can only be one thing, bland.

With the Royal Rumble coming up you will see Vince jolt the WWE fan base with a surprise here and there generating interest for the companies largest event (Wrestlemania).  Without Vince in the spotlight the WWE just seems to be missing something.

No matter who the talent, what the storyline, the WWE needs one thing and that's Vince McMahon.  Any real wrestling fan will be able to tell you many a great memory of Vince during their time as a fan.  Good thing for the WWE he is coming back to give a little shot in the arm to a show that is in desperate need of it.

Love him or hate him Vince McMahon is the WWE hands down.
