NFL Free Agent Rumors: A Look at What Might Happen on Day 2

Free agency started off with a bang on Tuesday around the NFL, probably more so than in any previous season as some of the best players at each position came off the board relatively quickly.

In fact, major signings were announced within the first hour of the new league year starting at 1 PM EST on Tuesday.

With that said, there are a tremendous number of free agents still available and a lot more rumors are swirling as to where they are going to land. Today might not be as busy on the free-agent front, but there are going to be a lot of things that are going to happen.

So, lets take a look at the most recent rumors.

Grubbs was considered one of the best guards in the entire NFL before an injury-plagued 2011 season saw him struggle a great deal. He is still one of the best run-blocking guards in the league and would provide the Saints with value compared to what Nicks is going to sign for.

According to Pro Football Talk, Mario Williams left Buffalo late Tuesday without signing a contract with the Bills. This comes as somewhat of a surprise considering the speculation throughout the day was that Buffalo wasn't going to let him leave without a contract.

It looks like Williams will be visiting other cities, at the very least to build even more leverage in the free agent market. The Jacksonville Jaguars, among others, are said to be interested.

While I am against doling out a tremendous amount of money to one player on the defensive side of the ball, Williams has proved himself to be well worth the haul.
