Tim Tebow Trade Rumors: The Latest Buzz Around Broncos QB

Vincent FrankMar 14, 2012

Not much has changed on this front since the weekend. The Denver Broncos, like all four teams involved in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, are currently in a holding pattern until the future Hall of Fame quarterback decides where he is going to go.

Of course, the Jacksonville Jaguars are said to be interested in Tebow, should he hit the trade market. While this doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to me, other "experts" tend to disagree.

Heath Evans over at the NFL Network indicated on air yesterday that Tim Tebow would be a good fit in Jacksonville. He utilized the idea that they have a strong running back with Maurice Jones-Drew, one of the better defenses in the conference and a great special teams unit.

If that was the case, why didn't they contend for a playoff spot last season? Sounds extremely familiar to the San Francisco 49ers, who were an overtime loss away from making the Super Bowl.

In short, I just don't see how the Jaguars would be considered a contender with Tebow as their quarterback.

Other people have indicated that the Seattle Seahawks would be a fit for the unconventional quarterback. They are in obvious need for a quarterback after Tarvaris Jackson proved he is nothing more than a marginal signal-caller at this point.

Other than those two teams, we are not hearing much about interest in Tebow. Of course, this will change a great deal if Manning signs with the Broncos.

Once that happens there should be some mild interest in him. As I have mentioned before, the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets could show some interest.
