Oakland Raiders: Does the Coaching Search Have an Endgame?
From the general consensus, about half the Raider Nation would love to see Tom Cable come back. However, the great question has been tossed around, if he can't, would he take a smaller job, and go back to his original job?
Possible, but there has been rumors of Cable going to other clubs if he's unable to secure the HC position.
The big point that fans made, and the media backed up, is this is Cable's dream job. Raider fan. Enjoyed his time working to improve the club. Worked hard to solve issues, get the team's mindset changed, and then had to watch as several coaches flew the coop.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now as it stands, there is a few options that can happen, that will either have Cable return, or, he'll wind up as the Offensive Coordinator.
And most hope he doesn't wind up in Denver, since he would probably be able to deliver a blueprint on how to break down the Raiders for years to come, or hook up with Jim Mora in Seattle...Atlanta 2.0?
Option one would call for Cable to be named Head Coach. This could happen early this week, Kevin Gilbride goes into the OC slot, and for defense, we could look at Winston Moss, or someone Cable is going to hand-pick.
Option two would call for Cable to be named Head Coach, then it's up to Cable to assemble from the Davis file on whom he thinks would be approachable. To a larger degree, some feel this might already be in place, as Ed Donatell was mentioned off and on.
Ed's history with Cable goes to both Idaho and Atlanta and could help both coaches see eye to eye on matters.
Option three, is seeing Gilbride going up to the HC position, Cable comes back to the OC slot, and Davis starts finding who Gilbride wants to build around. The one factor that makes this a questionable assembly, is would Gilbride demand "all or nothing" to join the Raiders, or would he be willing to play wait and see in Oakland?
The other names that have been floated out there in recent days, like Winston Moss for HC, or Terry Robiskie as a possible option.
The main question would come down to how Al wants to build the coaching this offseason. Cable, from finishing out the year, would be a logical choice.
But then, Al also has a penchant for being creative—and reckless—with choices.
