Why Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall Reunion Is Perfect for Both Players
According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the Chicago Bears have acquired Brandon Marshall from the Miami Dolphins.
For Bears fans, this could not be better news.
Last season, Chicago's offense ranked No. 26 in passing by averaging just 188.2 yards per game. Had it not been for running back Matt Forte, the Bears offense would have been completely nonexistent.

Also, the Bears were struck by the injury plague toward the season's end after a solid 7-3 start. Unfortunately, Chicago couldn't overcome and finished 8-8 overall after losing five of its last six.
Still, even before the injuries, the Bears offense was missing that standout No. 1 receiver. Johnny Knox is a reliable No. 2 receiver and with a true No. 1 target, Devin Hester has potential as a slot man.
With Brandon Marshall, the Windy City's offense has a lot to hope for in 2012.
From 2006 through 2008, Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler were teammates in Denver, where they connected 220 times for over 2,800 yards and 14 touchdowns. Together they earned Pro Bowl selections in 2008, which was the year Cutler hit 4,526 passing yards, a Broncos franchise record.
The 2008 season was also arguably Marshall's best, as he caught a career-high 104 passes while gaining 1,265 yards and scoring six touchdowns.
Also, according to Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald, Marshall is stoked about reuniting with Cutler. And he should be, because Cutler is easily the best quarterback Marshall has played with in the NFL and the most well-established.
Chicago's rushing offense is going to be even more productive as fewer defenders will stack the box against Matt Forte. In turn, the play-action pass will be extremely efficient for the Bears and we can expect Cutler and Marshall to really make some noise next fall.
Despite the "wind" in the Windy City, Chicago is taking flight in 2012.
