This is a huge move for the Redskins because they are going to likely draft Robert Griffin III with the second pick in the 2012 draft. Washington did not have much talent on their roster when it came to wide receivers prior to the news about Garcon.

The only wide receiver the Redskins had that was consistently productive was Santana Moss. Although Moss is still a great wide receiver, he has some injury concerns and he is not getting any younger.

Washington has been making great moves in the offseason so far. With the New York Giants defending another Super Bowl next year, along with the threat of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, the Redskins knew they needed to drastically improve their team.

They are also making Griffin III's life much easier by bringing in another weapon for him at the wide receiver position. Garcon, like Moss, has the ability to stretch the field with his elite speed. Garcon also has a great set of hands that will haul in most passes thrown his way.

Even without Peyton Manning, Garcon was able to put up great numbers in the 2011 season. In Washington, expect for Pierre and Griffin to be on the same page and be a threat for the Redskins for the coming years.
