New York Jets Fans: The Suffering Continues
You may be thinking why Keyshawn Johnson? Well, he and Favre now have on thing in common. They both won rings with other teams, and they both did their part to in some way inflict pain upon Jet Nation.
I know many of you Jets fans like myself have probably gone over hundreds of different scenarios to this latest collapse. You just can't seem to grasp how your team (8-3 at one point in the season) lost to four out of five teams remaining on their schedule (one out of those four made the playoffs) in another epic heartache to all those who continue to follow this team.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The day after Favre threw up his last interception into the New Jersey night, you told yourself its the same old Jets. Then you tried to argue with yourself that they are better then the team that folded like a deck of cards to Chad Pennington (the guy you ditched like an old dog) for a washed up Brett Favre.
Brett Favre was not the sole reason the Jets fell apart this year. He did play his role, but for the most part Jet fans got what they wanted when it came to Favre, both the good and the bad. Unfortunately for us, we got the bad in the end. Then the anger set in. Someone had to pay this time. Enter Eric Mangini.
The collapse was so bad Mangini was fired the next day. Not Favre, not Coles (who vanished after Week 11), not any other member of the team, not the coordinators, just Mangini. Why not? You have seven Pro Bowlers and you don't make the playoffs. Time to go, right decision, just bad timing.
Now the Jets find themselves looking for another first year coach. To me, it's so hard to take an organization seriously when the past two coaches and most of the coaches through their history have been starter coaches. It's like when you first graduate college and you look for the starter job. If you're a football coach you look to the Jets.
Sad to say Woody Johnson loves Favre, and with PSL tickets to sell, he is going to need him. With no big-name coach, and if Favre really leaves, then the Jets will have even more problems. No coach, no quarterback, not a very decent draft pick, and a shattered fan base.
Why do I have a feeling the pain is not going away anytime soon?
Sad to say the Jets got what they wanted from me. I bought that $80 Favre jersey, I just didn't get what I wanted from them (Championship).
