Arsenal Transfer Rumours Roundup

If the rumor mill is correct, Arsenal will chase several big names during the summer transfer window. The biggest name they’re linked to, though, is the one Arsenal can’t afford to lose.

The summer transfer window is set to open at the end of the season, and Arsenal should be busy. Currently in fourth place, manager Arsene Wenger and the Gunners will have to strengthen the squad in the hopes of ending their seven-year trophy drought.

Late last week, reports emerged from Germany that Arsenal had agreed a deal to sign German international forward Lukas Podolski from Cologne for £10.9 million. Podolski reportedly later said no deal had been completed.

In addition to Podolski, Arsenal have been linked recently with German midfielder Mario Götze, French forward Olivier Giroud and Moroccan midfielder Younes Belhanda among others.

Meanwhile, though, star striker and captain Robin van Persie has been linked with big-spending Manchester City. According to reports, City would offer van Persie a contract worth £210,000 per week.

It figures to be an interesting summer in North London.
