Vincent Jackson Rumors: Why Receiver Should Return to San Diego Chargers
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson is set to hit free agency on Tuesday and he is sure to be a wanted man. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills are all set to make a run at him when he hits the open market, but Jackson's best choice would be to return to San Diego and finish his career with the Chargers.
The Bucs, Bears and Bills may all offer a little more money than San Diego will, but none of them offer the security that playing with quarterback Philip Rivers does. Jackson and Rivers have developed and outstanding connection over the past few seasons and with a new team, he will be starting over.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Of the three teams mentioned as possible new homes, none of them have a signal-caller on Rivers' level. Yes, the 30-year-old struggled at times during the 2011 season, but he righted the ship (with the help of Jackson) and earned a trip to his third straight Pro Bowl.
Bears fans will tell you that Jay Cutler has the potential to be a perennial Pro Bowler, but I'll believe that when I see it.
The Chargers can probably give Jackson something in the neighborhood of a five-year, $50 million deal. Considering that the 29-year-old wideout would prefer to stay in San Diego, that kind of contract offer should be enough to keep him in town.
Jackson has to realize what he would be giving up by leaving the Chargers. The team needs him and he is a part of a prolific offensive attack. He knows the system, coaches and players in San Diego, whereas he'd be starting over with a different team.
If Jackson were smart, he'd end up back in San Diego and sign a contract that would allow him to finish his career with the only team he's ever played for.
