Sigmund BloomMar 12, 2012

A quiet day on the pro day front brings a few a pro day notes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

SI.com's Tony Pauline has the scoop from Pitt's pro day, which included a "fluid, athletic" performance from OL Lucas Nix, who is getting consideration for all five offensive line spots according to Pauline.

Update: CBS Sports Rob Rang reports that Pitt cornerback Buddy Jackson had a memorable pro day:

Jackson was clocked in the low 4.3s in the 40-yard dash. Central Florida cornerback Josh Robinson was "officially" recorded at 4.35 seconds, the fastest among the 325+ prospects invited to participate in Indianapolis this year. Jackson also posted an 11-9" broad jump. By comparison, the top performance at the 2012 Combine was 11 feet, one inch which was accomplished by Robinson and Georgia Tech wide receiver Stephen Hill.

"

Tulsa's pro day drew attention for WR/KR Damaris Johnson, who missed the season after he was suspended from the team in August. KOTV's Bobby Lewis had the numbers on Twitter:

"

Damaris Johnson's Tulsa pro day results: 5’7 171 lbs 40 time: 4.45 Vertical: 30.0 Broad: 9’5 20-yd Shuttle: 4.25 3-cone: 6.80 Bench Reps:13

"

Johnson's results should get him into a camp, but not the draft. Although, his special teams value could keep him around.

QB GJ Kinne is the more intriguing prospect from Tulsa. Pauline reported that Kinne was sharp and tested his arm strength with an 80-yard throw, which was not the calling card of Chad Pennington, who has been working with Kinne since January according to Pauline. Kinne also ran the 40 in an impressive 4.55 and 4.67, according to Tulsa World reporter Kelly Hines.
