Have you wondered what teams the Oakland Raiders play often?

The data reveals that they compete against the Chargers, Broncos and Chiefs more than other teams.

Here is a simple chart and several observations can be made. The data was aggregated from Pro Football Reference Head-to-Head data through 2011.

Total Raiders Opponent
102 57 45 Chargers
101 59 42 Broncos
101 48 53 Chiefs
51 28 23 Seahawks
42 23 19 Titans
36 19 17 Bills
36 21 15 Jets
30 16 14 Dolphins
29 14 15 Patriots
26 18 8 Bengals
19 11 8 Browns
19 10 9 Steelers

Of the 102 times the Oakland Raiders have played the San Diego Chargers, the Raiders have won more than 50 percent of the games.

The historical data shows that the Raiders have defeated the Broncos 59 times, while the Broncos have won 42 of the games.

The Kansas City Chiefs dominate in this category with 53 wins, while the Raiders have defeated the Chiefs 48 times.

The close encounters include games between the Steelers, Patriots and Bills if the focus is on the double-digit wins.

There are other close encounters with the Raiders trailing when you compare them to the Packers, Texans, Jaguars, Saints, Eagles and 49ers. Here is the data.

The Packers have won six of the 11 games against the Raiders. The Texans have won five of the seven games against the Raiders.

The Oakland Raiders have played the Jaguars five times, with the Jaguars winning four of the games.

The Saints and Eagles have a 5-5 record which means both teams are tied in the win-loss record when compared to the Raiders in the head-to-head category.

Finally, the San Francisco 49ers have won six of the 12 games they have played against the Oakland Raiders.

If you only focus on the head-to-head data, you see that the Oakland Raiders have a lot of potential.

This is a partial analysis of data. The focus is on the double-digit wins in the head-to-head category.

As such, the Raiders look good when they frequently encounter an opponent.
