Peyton Manning Rumors: All the Latest on the Chase for the 4-Time MVP

News in the Peyton Manning chase is coming fast and furious, and it's all I can do to try and keep up.

This morning ESPN's Adam Schefter claimed on SportsCenter that Manning would not be visiting any more teams after seeing the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals this weekend. That made it seem as if the 11-time Pro Bowler was close to making a decision.

Now comes word from Chris Mortensen that Manning is exhausted from his visits this weekend and may not make a decision on his future this week. The quarterback apparently wants to get back to his throwing regimen and take more time deciding where to play next.

Mortensen also claims that Manning will meet with Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin and Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak sometime in the next three days. Those meetings will take place away from team facilities, and the fact that he will meet with just the head coach and not the full front office staff could be significant. 

Both the Dolphins and the Titans are going hard after Manning, but he is not giving them the same level of attention he gave to the Cardinals and Broncos. Does that mean anything? We shall see.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly is now claiming that Manning will visit the Houston Texans as well. He cites no team or league sources, so until you hear it elsewhere, take that news with a grain of salt.

The Sun-Sentinel also has an article up from Mike Berardino that claims Manning could be scared away from the Dolphins simply because Brandon Marshall is the team's No. 1 receiver. Marshall has never been a stable presence on any roster, and compared to a guy like Larry Fitzgerald, he just doesn't compare. 

That said, Marshall is extremely talented, and if he can prove to Manning that he has things in order on and off the field, maybe he could help change the man's mind.
