Matt Flynn Rumors: QB Is Perfect Consolation Prize for Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns lost out to the Washington Redskins in the Robert Griffin III sweepstakes this weekend, even though they offered St. Louis three first-round picks and a possible second-rounder in exchange for the No. 2 selection, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
They must now pick up the pieces and go out and get Matt Flynn for a fraction of that cost for their future.
Writers like Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports believe that the Green Bay Packers backup signal-caller has a chance to land in Cleveland and it would work out well for both parties.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"He's not a physical specimen, nor does he possess a particularly strong arm. But in the right system, his smarts and accuracy are assets.

The Colt McCoy era seems to be at a close in Cleveland. He must be more than aware that the team tried to trade a ton of draft picks and mortgage their future by going after RGIII. It’s likely shaken what little confidence he had left from the 2011-12 season.
It’s obvious that Flynn is the best option for this young Browns squad, considering the only other marquee free agent at the position is Peyton Manning. That would be a mutually awful decision for both sides and neither is doing much more than possibly talking at this point.
Flynn represents a chance for the team to rebuild around a guy who has flashed a ton of potential when on the field, which hasn’t been often because of Rodgers’ presence.
The young man out of LSU would get the chance he deserves by suiting up for the Browns and Cleveland would get the elite QB they have been trying to find for years.
