College Football Recruiting 2013: Power Ranking the 5 Hottest Recruits Right Now
Which recruits are hot right now? Who's trending and really the talk of the college football recruiting world, right now at this very moment? Well, I'm going to give you who I feel fits this criteria.
For this read, I'm going to power rank the five hottest recruits, right now. Of course, this could and will change probably by the time I'm done writing it. Then it'll change again before you're done reading it.
But here are five hot named recruits right now!
5. Vernon Hargreaves, CB
1 of 5Hargreaves is heating up right now because of the fact that his father coaches at USF, but he has offers from Florida, Miami, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Tennessee among others.
The 5'10", 180-pound corner is a slow-playing technique cover corner that keeps it all front of him, thinks to read QB drops and times up a receiver's steps. Then he simply springs into action by bursting to make a play on the ball.
4. O.J. Howard, TE
2 of 5Howard is hot right now because he just lit up the Mobile NIKE Combine recently. He measured in at nearly 6'6", weighed 224-pounds, ran a 4.6 40-yard dash, jumped 38.5 inches and shuttled a 4.4.
That performance netted him an invitation to The Opening in July at NIKE Headquarters.
Oh yeah, he's committed to Alabama.
3. Adam Breneman, TE
3 of 5Breneman made his decision on Friday, to which he gave a pledge to Penn State. Happy Valley will love him, as he's a 6'5", 220-pound TE that will be used like a WR.
With Bill O'Brien knowing a thing or two on how to use a tight end as a powerful pass-catching weapon (does Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez come to mind folks?), Breneman should put up some huge stats for the Nittany Lions.
2. Max Browne, QB
4 of 5Browne is the top QB in the country this year and has a chance to be a star. At 6'5" and almost 200-pounds, he's got a quick release, has great accuracy, stays balanced in his drops and makes great decisions.
Browne can get the ball out quickly to all levels of the field and do it with ease. He's hot right now because, well, he's the top QB in the country, that's why!
1. Robert Nkemdiche, DL
5 of 5Everyone wants Nkemdiche. He's the hottest name on the trail right now and is the No.1 prospect for 2013.
He's a 6'5", 270-pound DL with a great frame, power, mass, strength, excellent explosion, burst, speed and agility. He plays like a war daddy and is uber-intense and competitive.
