Tiger Woods Injury: Star Golfer Withdraws from Final Round at Doral

Partway through his final round, Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the WGC Cadillac Championship at Doral. 

Woods was caught by cameras slightly limping on hole No. 10, and he withdrew after hitting his drive on hole No. 12.

He had also switched shoes at the turn.

Tiger wasted no time leaving the course after withdrawing. He did stop in his car on the way out to briefly chat with reporters. 

During their broadcast of the event, NBC reported that Tiger relayed the following message as he was leaving: "Tell them it's my leg."

He was asked which leg and said it was his left. 

Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero relayed the same information via Twitter.

There is no indication of when Tiger was hurt, but he was not on his game all day. This was easily his worst round of the tournament.

For the record: Tiger Woods posted rounds of 72-67-68 and was 3-over through 11 holes today before WD.

Any leg injury with Woods and the first concern is with the knee. The fact that it is his left leg is even more worrisome. Tiger has had surgery on his left knee four times. 

The only indication to suggest that it might not be his knee is the fact that he changed shoes. Perhaps that is an indication that he was having a foot/ankle issue. 

It's all just speculation now. It is safe to expect that much more concrete details will be forthcoming.
