WrestleMania 28 Predictions: Why Undertaker's Streak Will Be Shattered

Adam WellsMar 31, 2012

In WWE lore, "The Streak" is one of the most beloved records ever. The Undertaker may not be a full-time performer anymore, but he comes back at WrestleMania every year because it has become such a huge selling point for the show.

Like all things in life, everything comes to an end sooner or later. If ever there was a time for "The Streak" to fall, it would be at WrestleMania 28 against Triple H in Hell In a Cell.

Here is why Undertaker should walk away from WrestleMania 28 with his first loss at the biggest show WWE has to offer.

The Story

Everything leading up to this moment on April 1 has been about Undertaker needing to prove that last year, in which he had to be carted out of the arena because of the beating Triple H put on him, is a sign that he doesn't have it in him to win this match.

Undertaker has never been manhandled in a match like he was last year. He was beaten on for 30 minutes before locking in the gogoplata—or whatever they are calling the submission hold nowadays.

Triple H clearly has the Undertaker's number, he just hasn't been able to get over the WrestleMania hump.

The End of His Career Is Coming

Undertaker only works one pay-per-view a year, so eventually the time is going to come when he walks away from wrestling for good.

Every great wrestler in history wants to leave on a high note, but the business tradition is to have that person lose.

Just two years ago, Shawn Michaels ended his in-ring career by losing to The Undertaker. That was the most high-profile exit since Ric Flair tried to retire in 2008, and it is how everyone ends up leaving.

What better way for Undertaker to end his career than by losing everything that is most precious to him?

Shawn Michaels

Speaking of the Heartbreak Kid, he is going to play an integral role in determining the outcome of this match.

The way that things are being presented to us is that Michaels and Triple H are feuding. Of course, that could just as easily be a swerve for them to screw Undertaker.

Everyone knows the history that Michaels and Undertaker have and that could serve as the catalyst to an epic screw-job.
