2012 NFL Free Agents: Randy Moss Expected to Work out for San Francisco 49ers
It looks like the Randy Moss' returning-from-retirement tour will be making a stop in San Francisco. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN:
"Randy Moss is scheduled to fly to San Francisco on Sunday for a Monday workout for the San Francisco 49ers, according to a league source.
The trip is a return to the Bay Area, where Moss played two seasons for the Oakland Raiders before he was traded to the New England Patriots.

There is no question that the 49ers could use an upgrade at the wide receiver position, meaning you can expect them to be legitimate players for Moss if they come away impressed with his workout.
Schefter reported that Moss was impressive when working out for the New Orleans Saints, so don't be surprised if the 49ers are linked to Moss until he is signed.
What Happens Next
If Moss absolutely knocks the socks off of the 49ers, they could begin contract negotiations. More than likely, however, Moss will continue working out for other teams and San Francisco will have to determine if he is the right fit for their team.
That's a big question—Moss can be rather mercurial and if he becomes displeased in a situation, he shuts down. The 49ers, like any other team considering Moss, will have to decide if he is worth the risk.
