Oklahoma City Thunder Fans Excited as Team Improves

Josh LambertJan 11, 2009

Despite the bad start to the season for the first ever NBA franchise in Oklahoma City, the fans have something to look forward to.

I myself am all wrapped up in the Thunder frenzy.

I come home and watch them on TV whenever they play.

Even though they lost a lot, I still watched.

But things are a little bit different now.

They have won a couple more games and lost a couple of heart breakers. Even losses such as the Denver game and the Houston game help me see that this team is on the right track.

Here is the key for Thunder fans—this season is already shot. They have lost 30 games.

But we can't focus on that.

We need to focus on their improvement and enjoy the success they have when they do win, knowing that they are getting better.

The Thunder beat the Bulls on the road Saturday night in overtime. They showed passion and focus, which is something a team needs to win tight games—especially on the road.

They did that. It just proves that they want to win no matter how the season is going.

As Thunder fans, we have something to be excited about. This team is getting better by the day. They have taken a big step since the first of the season when everyone thought they would be the worst team in NBA history. So far, they look better than that.

They have finally settled in. Just sit back and watch this team progress. It won't be long before we'll see them in the playoffs.
