Peyton Manning Reportedly Visiting John Elway, Denver Broncos

The land ruled by Tim Tebow will soon be visited by a legend, as reports issue Peyton Manning is on his way to meet with the Denver Broncos and John Elway.

Mike Klis and Woody Paige of The Denver Post join forces in a report that may signal a gigantic change headed for Denver:

Peyton Manning will be in Denver tonight visiting with the Broncos, according to two NFL sources.

This is getting serious, folks.

Manning, arguably the most decorated free agent in NFL history, has the Broncos on his short list.

The report issues that the Broncos' brass—including Elway—are in Stillwater, Okla., watching the Oklahoma State pro day. The team is understood to be taking a close look at Brandon Weeden, but it seems it may not need him after all. 

After Manning is done meeting with Denver, he will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins.

Before you scoff at the thought of Manning in a Broncos jersey, consider the fact they meet his criteria. They are an AFC team that's built to win.

That is, in comparison to the Cardinals and Dolphins, at least.

The Broncos' defense came on in the second half of the season, and a fellow legend like John Elway can sell the finer points of a storied franchise.

The obvious note is that Tebow will once again get pushed aside for another quarterback. In this case, the other quarterback is also a future Hall of Famer. Indeed, if there is any player the fans would rally behind instead of Tebow, it would be Manning.

Get ready for a flood of these reports, as Manning is hoping to make his decision by next Tuesday—the start of free agency.

Interest remains high despite tenuous knowledge about the health of his neck and the strength of his arm.

If truly healthy, there is no question the Broncos could use Manning under center. He would be a huge upgrade at quarterback, as he has the magic touch of Tim Tebow and the expertise of a vet who has seen it all.

One lucky franchise is about to get the most coveted free agent on the market, and it may just be the Denver Broncos.
