Chiefs Have Reportedly Offered Peyton Manning Contract Already
The Kansas City Chiefs want Peyton Manning and have already made him a contract offer, according to a report from Kansas City sports talk show host Brandon Spano.
"BREAKING: Source says that the Chiefs were the ONLY team to offer a completed contract to Peyton Manning today. Says they are most prepared

Head coach Romeo Crennel has already said that the Chiefs would have interest in Manning if he were to become a free agent, so the fact that they are pursuing him is not a surprise. However, it is surprising that they are reportedly going after him so hard this quickly.

What It Means?
The Chiefs know that their window of opportunity is wide open. Everything fell apart for them last season, but a healthy Jamaal Charles and returning Dwayne Bowe gives them a nucleus that few teams can compete with.
Manning has said that he plans to make a decision within a week, and sources claim that he would prefer to stay in the AFC. Winning is going to be the most important thing for him—probably even more than money—and the Chiefs have playoff potential.
What Happens Next?
Manning is likely going to evaluate all the potential offers that come his way before making a decision—he would be foolish not to.
The Chiefs are making the right move in providing Manning with a great opportunity to get back to where he was prior to missing last season. They should keep up their pursuit until he decides what he is going to do.
Things are going to get very interesting over the weekend if Manning does aim to nail down his landing spot within the next week.
