NFL Rumors: Where Will Kevin Kolb Go If Peyton Manning Signs with Cardinals?
The one person in Arizona who isn't excited about Peyton Manning's possible arrival is Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb.
Their prize piece from a year ago was almost a complete disappointment in 2011 and didn't lock down the starting job for the 2012 season.
If still in the desert by the time training camp starts, Kolb is going to compete with John Skelton for the starting job. For a team wanting to compete in the NFC West, a quarterback battle is arguably the last thing they want.

That is why signing Peyton Manning, aside from the fact that he's Peyton Manning, is so important.
The Cardinals' record from a year ago (8-8) is a perfect metaphor for what this team is—middle of the road—and Peyton puts them over the top.
So, what does that mean for Kolb? Where does he go next? He certainly won't be staying in Arizona.
The most likely answer is that he'll go to a team that miss on both Manning and Matt Flynn. Obviously, the Cardinals aren't one of those teams, but Miami, Cleveland and Seattle could all be in the mix.
Browns head coach Pat Shurmur was Kolb's offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, so those ties are impossible to deny.
However, if Peyton is playing in Arizona, that means he's not in Miami. While the Dolphins will likely opt to move on Flynn before moving on Kolb, it's still a possibility—especially if Flynn is already gone.
As for Seattle, there is no telling if Kolb is a better option than Tarvaris Jackson. However, for the right price, it couldn't hurt to find out.
Kolb's suitors will be limited, but he's not without options.
