Uniform mishaps, whether they are name misspellings, equipment issues or wearing the wrong jersey, can be quite embarrassing for the players and teams involved.

While we don't see uniform mishaps too often, they do happen. Let's look at some of the most recent uniform mishaps in the NHL.

Jake Dowell

After participating in a fight, Jake Dowell of the Chicago Blackhawks tries to put his jersey back on properly but puts his head right through the back of it. Luckily teammate Duncan Keith was on the spot to save Dowell from further embarrassment.

Rob Niedermayer's Incorrectly Spelled Name

While playing for the Buffalo Sabres, forward Rob Niedermayer's name was spelled wrong during a game against the New York Islanders. To be fair, his name is not easy to spell.
