Jeff CohnMar 7, 2012

Tennis is a sport intended for spectators' entertainment. Throughout the years the sport has evolved, and new stars continue to be born all the time.

Along with these changing times and interesting careers comes the most important aspect in all sports: advertising.

The top celebrities and athletes in the game of tennis have signed lucrative contracts with companies that they would go on to represent throughout their time in the sport.

Because of this. players have undergone many commercial campaigns and put their faces on "products" or simple ads.

We always enjoy a good laugh, which does not always occur when watching seriously competitive matches, so here are the top 25 most hilarious commercials ever, featuring tennis players.

Honorable Mention: Staying Alive

1 of 28

The three most iconic figures in baseball, golf and tennis showed that they and their respective sports were "staying alive."

Their shoes and Roger Federer's gesture at the end cracks me up every time.

Honorable Mention: Agassi Pulls off Other Tricks

This commercial is just blatantly bizarre, but it ends in a comical fashion.

Andre Agassi sure was useful to ad agencies.

This clearly targets a male audience but, then again, they are the larger percentage group of sports-watchers.

Him asking for the can back at the end was certainly a smart play—he could then prepare the prank for somebody else...

9 of 28

Just imagine if this type of video clip was created every time Roger won a new tournament.

The commercial inventory is supposed to be limited and perishable!

10 of 28

He gave the man his current ranking, alright.

18. Dirty Intentions

11 of 28

This commercial not only makes fun of the excessive grunts that some female players produce, but it promotes the attractive undertones in the sport presented by the ladies themselves.

It also has intentions to promote something sensual.

17. Aggressive Message on Aggression

12 of 28

Although Serena is occasionally guilty of violating her own advice here, it makes for a slightly laughable psychoanalytic perspective.

13 of 28

It appears that tennis is not the only thing that Roger plays.

15. Don't Make Roddick Mad

14 of 28

This ad was very popular at the time.

Cliff Drysdale can also be heard "commentating" on this event, and it makes the situation seem that much more realistic.

This clip still leaves the question unanswered, though: How would the point play out following this hypothetical scenario?

Pong would certainly be a formidable opponent, although it is probably unable to serve.

It is just a shame that it did not translate as well in the case of Taylor (and this commercial is indicative of that).

4. Taking Candy from a...Celebrity

25 of 28

I sure do love Lindt Lindor Truffles, but I do not think I would go to the extremes that these ladies went to.

This commercial was the first one that Federer did that involved a somewhat steamy relationship between himself and girls (although they might have enjoyed the chocolate more...who knows?).

3. The Let Rule That We All Hate

26 of 28

This commercial is especially hilarious for tennis players, as it relates to each and every one of them.

Perhaps he truly is just as quick as the ad suggests and there is no over-exaggeration at all.

28 of 28

This was neither his coach nor did it take place in his actual house, but the end result sure was comical.

This ad just goes to show how successful and compatible Roger Federer and Nike are together.
