Nicklas Bendter Gets Arsenal Home. No Joke
Nicklas Bendter and his oddly fluorescent boots have not had the best start to the season.
The lanky Dane's passing, shooting, first touch, and control have been very poor. At times he has looked impressive but most of this season he has been inconsistent and lazy.
When Arsenal were set to play Bolton this weekend, the last person you would of expected to score the winner for Arsenal would have been Bendter or Johan Djourou. But the Danish striker defied odds and bravely scored the winner to save Arsenal some blushes from a game that really should have been won easily.

Bendter has his fellow strike partner Robin van Persie to thank. The Dutchman had a superb game and his efforts allowed Bendter to slide home the winner. Van Persie found space on the edge of the box and played an excellent, tantalizing cross which allowed his strike-partner to run in and half-volley the ball home.
Fellow striker Emmanuel Adebayor was disappointing as he missed a host of chances. The Togolese forward looked hesitant and at times was quite lazy. But there are some good signs for the Danish forward as the goal may just keep him at the club.
With Croatian striker Eduardo Da Silva returning from his horrific injury and Bendter's recent form, many rumours abounded stating Bendter was going to be sold, swapped, or loaned out to a big European club. But his goal may make Arsene Wenger reconsider selling the big Dane.
The goal will surely inject much need confidence into Bendter and his boots, and it will also tidy up his unimpressive stats which up until the Bolton game he has scored a measly one Premiership goal. Bendter has scored seven goals this season, which at most clubs is impressive, but with Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin van Persie netting 23 goals between them, it is under par.
A good win for Arsenal even though it was left until late.
