It's Between Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea From Here On Out

We've reached that time in the English Premier League season where things start to take shape.

It surprised me this morning when Liverpool stuttered against Stoke City. I wonder how many more tricks they have up their sleeves to finish on top come May.

I try to believe that they are on top, and actually look like title contenders, but there is always something telling me that they will eventually run out of fire. However, things do look good for them with Torres back from injury.

Manchester United, on the other hand, might just be this season's dark horse. We have to remind ourselves that they do have a couple of games in hand. After all, they are current EPL and European champions, and they have that rare champion quality that Chelsea seemed to have in 2005-2006.

If they beat Chelsea tonight, they will be just one point behind Chelsea and five points off Liverpool.

I did have a good laugh when I heard that Ronaldo crashed his Ferrari. Let's face it, the kid's got talent and a ton of arrogance along with it. I feel it’s just a matter of time until Sir Alex Ferguson has had enough of him. Think back to the David Beckham era at Man U.

Man U are not really lacking in any department, with the transfer window opening soon. They have quality in all departments.

Chelsea, on the other hand, could do with a few of Abramovich’s millions that seem to be drying up. A winger should be on the agenda. I think ever since they sold Arjen Robben, they lost a bit of X factor. Joe Cole is doing a fine job on the right, but I can't see Deco out on the left for much longer.

I would like to see Salomon Kalou utilized a bit more out on the left. The return of Florent Maloulda should give them some more width. The midfield looks too crowded with Deco, John Obi Mikel, Michael Ballack, and Frank Lampard all congested in the middle.

I still think Chelsea need to get more out of Ballack. Ballack should be playing further forward like he did for Bayern—he's more effective up there with either Drogba or Anelka.

They also need the back two of John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho to be like the Terry and Carvalho of the Mourinho era—extremely stingy.

Bosingwa has been a good buy for Chelsea. Chelsea, I believe, are still in a good position for the title, but they need to put together a few more convincing performances—no more draws can be acceptable.
