Rookie Rankings

A few new voices may chime in this week, as well as some rookies dropping down.

1. Derrick Rose—He needs to play a lot worse to get him out of the first place role for ROTY.

2. OJ Mayo—A well rounded player this year, but not the No. 1 candidate, plain and simple.

3. Michael Beasley—Got his first double double, which NBA.com sees as a negative, and put him down for it, but I think it brings him up, because he got it.

4. Russell Westbrook—Doing pretty well in Oklahoma as far as stats and good plays, but again, how many have they won?

5. DJ Augustine—When you win the game for your team against the Celtics, you're doing pretty well.

6. Eric Gordon—Doing pretty good as a player, not as a team.

7. Rudy Fernandez—Stepping it up without Brandon Roy.

8. Kevin Love—A sign of life after his bad start, claiming the Rookie leader in rebounds.

9. Greg Oden—Nothing to throw a parade for, but nothing to complain about.

10. Marc Gasol—Playin well

11. Brook Lopez

12. Mario Chalmers

13. George Hill

14. Jason Thompson

15. Brandon Rush
