Tim Duncan and Tony Parker Reborn, and Tebow's Sermon: BR5 3/7

BR5Mar 7, 2012

Welcome to BR5—your source for sports and pop culture news.

Today's episode of BR5 gets you up-to-date on everything from two Spurs separated at birth to Tim Tebow leading the masses.

Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are actually brothers. A San Antonio couple proved their love for the home team by naming their newborn twins after the two Spurs stars. Like his namesake, baby Duncan is a little taller.

The twins' parents met in 2007 while working at the AT&T Center, where the Spurs play their home games. And the couple figured that "...the Lord brought us together, but he used the Spurs to do it." Congrats to the Dennisons for baby Duncan and baby Parker and for not choosing two other names from that 2007 season, Beyno and Manu.

Marshawn Lynch has a brand new contract with the Seahawks for $31 million, which means two things: His neighborhood is going to need to stockpile Skittles, and some local jeweler is going to be staying open late. In fact, Lynch shot footage of his latest shopping spree, in which he sought out some brand new grills. The man has a vision for his fake teeth, it's not a game to him. Besides, he earned his contract and is said to be a favorite of coach Pete Carroll, who loves the attitude that Lynch, AKA "Beast Mode," brings to the field.

About 20,000 people showed up in Sin City to go to church, and it might have had something to do with Tim Tebow dropping in for a little prayer time. Tebow talked about faith and football to the mass of fans and worshippers at the Canyon Ridge Christian Church. Some fans showed up as early as 4 a.m. to get a good spot. The heavenly QB and the head pastor had an interview-style conversation for the crowd, covering topics from Tebow's visits to prisons and hospitals to a quick lesson on Tebowing.

Prince Harry is officially the fastest man in the world. He may be a runner-up as far as the throne goes, but he smoked Usain Bolt during a visit to Jamaica, thereby securing his status as the fastest royal ever. Some reports say Bolt may have let the ginger-haired non-heir win, but it looks to us like Harry just plain wanted it more.

The New York Jets center just may be the second-strongest Mangold at the next family reunion. Nick Mangold's sister, Holley, just earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic women's weightlifting team. At 5'8" and 374 pounds, Holley qualified for the heavyweight division, lifting 319 pounds, and is headed off to London this summer. Holley's no stranger to competition; she was the first girl to play football for Archbishop Alter High School in Ohio, and she played in the State Championship Game. Good luck in London, Holley. We're not sure which is the harder job, lifting ridiculous amounts of weight or protecting Mark Sanchez both on and off the field. The bottom line is, don't mess with the Mangolds.
