EPL Poll: Who Would You Rather See in England: Eden Hazard or Mario Goetze?

Thomas AtzenhofferMar 6, 2012

It is without a doubt that both Belgian international Eden Hazard, currently of French club Lille OSC, and Germany's Mario Goetze of Borussia Dortmund are two of the brightest young talents in the world.

However, when it comes down to it, which player would you rather see in the English Premier League?

At the age of 21, Hazard has nearly achieved all that he could have wanted to in France.

He helped to lead his side to the 2010-11 Ligue 1 Oranje championship for their first top division title season since 1953-54.

On top of that, he has been a regular starter since he was 18 years old, racking up over 180 appearances, 41 goals and 30 assists.

As well as making his mark on club football, he has also managed to earn 26 caps for his country before even reaching the age that most players move to their nation's senior side.

His style of play is sure to breed attacking creativity and goals if he moves to his apparently preferred destination of England for the next phase of his career.

However, there is yet one other young playmaker on the European radar that could rival Hazard as a fresh young face to the EPL.

Dortmund attacker Mario Goetze has been nothing short of sensational since breaking into the German side's first team at the start of last season.

A Bundesliga title winner in 2010-11, just as Hazard was in France, Goetze has also made his mark on the international scene, with 12 senior appearances and two goals.

Not nearly as experienced in first-team play as his Belgian counterpart, with just over 50 appearances with 14 goals and 20 assists, Goetze makes his argument on numbers alone. His average production is higher, and his current pace is more impressive than Hazard's.

At the end of the day, it is exciting to think of both of these young stars in the making plying their trade in the English Premier League.

The real challenge is deciding which one you would rather see make the move.
