MLB 12 the Show Video: Watch Hit Baseball Game's Newest Trailer

One of the biggest problems with the newest trailer for MLB 12 The Show is that it isn't realistic at all. I mean, it has the Chicago Cubs winning a championship, which we all know is just ridiculous. 

Only in a video game will you hear the phrase "The Chicago Cubs have won the World Series." That is one of the many reasons to love the new trailer for MLB 12 The Show. Video games give us a chance to create moments that no one would ever expect to happen in reality. 

If the Cubs actually won a championship, the world would end. The planet would stop spinning on its axis, the trees would shrivel up and humanity would have no idea what to do with itself.

You have to have the lovable losers stay that way so that we don't enter the darkest possible timeline, which is filled with felt goatees and troll dolls on fire. 

Not only can the Cubs win the World Series, but you can turn yourself into an MVP and future Hall of Famer. 

As crazy as this trailer is, it is the perfect pitch for fans to buy the game. I mean, if a simulation can turn the Cubs into a championship-caliber team, especially with the team they are rolling out on the field this year, imagine what else it can do. 

You can take your team, or player, to the highest peaks in baseball. The creators of the game are doing everything in their power to make it harder on us to win the ultimate prize in the game, with new pitching and hitting mechanics. 

This trailer is the perfect introduction to the game and the upcoming Major League Baseball season. When you hear that the Cubs have won a championship, it makes you want to run right out and snatch it up to see if, in fact, the disc doesn't spontaneously combust if they do win.
