Jon Hamm Is a Mad Man & a Lion Pees on Ochocinco: BR5 3/6

BR5Jun 2, 2018

Welcome to BR5—your source for sports and pop culture news.

Today's episode of BR5 gets you up-to-date on everything from Jon Hamm not playing with Roger Clemens to a Lion going numero uno on Ochocinco.

Mad Men's Jon Hamm appears to be a big fat liar, claiming on The Late Show with David Letterman that he played baseball with Roger Clemens when they were both at the University of Texas. The only problem is, the two were never at the University of Texas together. When Hamm was a freshman, Clemens was already playing for the Red Sox.

Hamm, aka Don Draper, explains to Letterman what it's like catching Clemens, despite probably never actually catching Clemens. Maybe he misremembered, or maybe he's just channeling his Mad Men character who pretty much lies for a living. Hamm's now saying he didn't mean to say he actually played with Clemens, and Clemens has not been reached for Comment yet.

A lion does to Ochocinco what Ochocinco has done to sportsmanship...peed all over him. The Patriots receiver was out at a charity event with his reality star-fiance and the Jets Darrelle Revis when a caged lion seemingly mistook Chad for a urinal... Ocho tweeted repeatedly about the event saying...

"Swear to lil 10 pound bearded baby Jesus I just got peed on by a real 'Lion' I'm not lying either. And y'all wonder why I don't go out!!!!!"

Frogs of the world may die because of Manchester United's Park Ji Sung. The Man U midfielder says his father used to feed him frog juice in order to increase his stamina on the field. Although, BR5 is not exactly sure how one would go about juicing a frog. As a result of Park's success and notoriety, aspiring athletes everywhere are hunting down frogs and attempting to drink their...yummy goodness.

First NBA'ers became fixated on making nerd-chic accessories cool this year, now Lebron James is taking it a step further with a man purse. And while twitter is great for keeping up with friends, it's an even better place for making fun of whatever Lebron's wearing or doing at any given time. The twitter sphere voiced its disapproval calling out Lebron for his "murse," and even getting some jabs in at teammate Dwayne Wade's shirt and capri pants.

Charles Barkley has given his two cents on the NFL bounty scandal, and in the process, might be putting a price on his own shiny bald head. Barkley took to the Dan Patrick show, where he let everyone know that "snitches get stitches," and that not only every team must be guilty, but that he was a believer in the practice himself, when other players ran up the score in his NBA days. But, the most classic Barkley was his line about the alleged bounty on Brett Favre in the 2010 NFC title game, saying, "Did they want to hit him hard? Of course they did, he was annoying the last five years of his career."
