Jon Jones: Believe Your Eyes

There's no  question that the UFC realizes that Jon Jones is their next big superstar. Of every fighter on the roster, Jones has the most potential for a dominant reign and the kind of personality that could turn him into a legitimate mainstream sports superstar.

The promotion already spotlighted him during the NFL playoffs with a hilarious commercial on FOX, but they're taking a different tact this time around. This new promotional spot, entitled "Believe Your Eyes," focuses on the damage Jones did to Lyoto Machida during their UFC 140 main event in December. 

Everything about the spot is beautifully shot, from the slightly-faded colors to the way the focus stays on Lyoto Machida's hand going limp as Jones puts him to sleep.

It's one of the best things the UFC has ever produced, and I hope we see a lot more like it in the years to come.

Ronda Rousey's Amateur MMA Debut

We now know what Ronda Rousey is capable of. But when she made her amateur MMA debut against Hayden Munoz at a Combat Fight League show in California, Rousey's MMA career was a complete mystery.

We knew she was a world-class judo expert, but we had no idea how that would translate to MMA.

We quickly found out, and so did Munoz.
