Big East Tournament 2012: Syracuse Will Run Away with Conference Tournament

Syracuse is a cut above the ultra-competitive Big East, and they will cruise to a tournament victory. They are too talented and deep not to. 

The Orange are coming off of the greatest regular season ever in their storied history. They finished with just one loss at 30-1.

The Orange's lone loss on the season came in the conference against Notre Dame, and that appears to be an aberration. That one came on the road, and they were perfect over the rest of their conference schedule.  

Syracuse actually set a record for Big East victories at 17-1. Their dominance of the conference was wildly apparent during the regular season, as was their invincibility at home. 

They didn't lose a game at home. And that is a big factor heading into this tournament. 

They enjoy what is essentially a home court advantage at the Madison Square Garden. Orange fans always turn out in droves, and this year will be no different.

The Orange are going to be jacked for this tournament, and their efficient offense and stiff zone defense will overwhelm their opponents.
